Michael Haneke: The White Ribbon

Michael Haneke's latest film, The White Ribbon has often been interpreted in our press as a film about the origins of Nazism. I think this interpretation is very simplistic and very comforting. And also a bit 'autoassolutoria. A group of children in the German countryside in 1914. The machine takes over the huge close-ups their faces straight, eyes property, blond hair carefully combed.
